The 2006 Climbing for Kids event is full. To join the waiting list or to get email updates about the 2007 mountains and be notified when registration begins, please email climbingforkids@bawt.org. Climbing for Kids 2007 will include 3 additional mountains and registration will begin in October, 2006.
Join the Bay Area Wilderness Training (BAWT) Climb Team on Mt. Rainier or Mt. Shasta in summer 2007 and help get at-risk urban youth out of the city and into the woods.
Adult Climbers pledge to raise sponsorhips from friends and
family, which will support BAWT with our year round work to get
youth out on life changing wilderness trips. In turn you will
receive the satisfaction of knowing you helped create a positive
impact on the lives of over 800 at-risk urban youth (over 3,745
served). In addition, our generous sponsors have provided
over $1,200 worth of free gear for each climber! That way,
you can continue to climb mountains for years to come.
